I worried that my mum who is still in the uk would cop it and die.

I didn’t really worry here because I’m very rural, however, I wasn’t blasé about it and took all the precautions to protect myself, my family and my wider community.

Everyone else did too, we didn’t really have all these “well I ain’t doing it for no one” types here, everyone mucked in.

No, totally get that and I understand.

I just meant with popping on a mask?.....you may well have done but it was just you came across as you didn’t use them.

Popping a mask on wouldn’t help though mate it’s a fact unless your wearing a war grade gas mask then what’s the point just to make your self feel better ? And if the old girl did catch it you could say you didn’t pass it as you had a bit of tissue roll on your face ? 
 

I wear a mask in chemist dentist ect but as has been said if I forgot I wouldn’t be running back to grab it I thinK they are pointless.

I dont think its a case of making yourself feel better mate i think most people realise its a load of ol bollocks....i was told by a reasonably intelligent medical bod that its like standing behind a chainlink fence to shield yourself from the wind !.....but if it makes some ol grandma feel better then why not.

Spot on!  if someone asked can i pop one on then most definitely I would. 
 

some really strong characters have succumbed to this bollocks. I go to work and have top professionals and multi millionaires telling me masks are pointless yet some people really believe a mask removes all chance of catching and passing.

The way I understand it about masks is they werent meant to protect the wearer ,but other people ,they are no where near 100% effective ,but the cut down the distance and amount of anything untoward you are breathing out ,this alongside social distancing seems to me a reasonable precaution to take ,infact it seems sensible .

Doctors don’t go to work Ill why they wear them since like when ever ? I think the understanding is that they don’t catch or lessen there chances of catching what ever there patients are carrying ?!

In fairness mate, I don’t think anyone has ever said it removes all chance.

Everyone knows it was only ever “something else” you can do to improve odds.

Thats all any of it has ever been about.
