So I was right.

Fact is, NO-ONE knew what they were signing up for, ESPECIALLY in the first world war!!

Mate, if you insist on believing that every generation of English men were as vacuous and insipid as today’s generation of multi cultural Britain’s you go ahead......the evidence didn’t back that up and I won’t pretend it’s the case to make me feel better about my own failings.

I think a lot of it is a massive farce but as a 36 year old bloke, I’m not standing in a que next to an old woman who’s all masked up etc, whilst I’ve got no mask on and it is probably making her feel

i recon him repeatedly getting knocked out .....probably put paid to that...lol

only when i go in a shop

I don't think today's generation would even have an inkling of what 'we' as a nation, not just england, were like even just 50 years ago.  Spoilt, self centered, no idea how anything works, no idea how to behave properly etc etc, absolute bunch of soppy brats, almost without exception!

And why you keep inferring that I have some sort of failing/failings, I've no idea.

I didn’t say you, I said me.

Everything you write there I have a share of the responsibility for because I grew up in this generation and helped shape what we see today.

My apologies, it's pretty awkward trying to keep things in perspective when we're trying to communicate on here lol.  ?

Back to mask wearing.

It's been an interesting year of the 'Brave new world' being quietly and forcefully wrapped around the country.

For those that, for want of a better expression, believe this old wives tale and have willing gone for their tests, self isolated, gone for more tests, got their vaccine, then got their second vaccine....someone who's done all of that, why would they not want to wear a mask or complain about wearing one? It's a global pandemic isn't it??

I completely agree, I have done all of the above (except I have not had to have a test yet) so why wouldn’t I use a mask too.

On this thread, Sheepchaser and Gnasher summed it up perfectly for me.

Many did but the majority didn’t. Trying to have a discussion with you is pointless as your either very stupid or to immature to admit when your wrong. Your the type of fella that if the government kept telling you that water was dry in a few months you’d believe them.

And how do you know the majority didn't? You weren't there.

What makes me wrong because you have said I am? You still haven't put up any proof.

I don't see what the government say so how can I believe it?

I think that makes worn correctly made of correct materials are probably very useful but the masks or face coverings that most people are wearing and the way they are wearing them makes them potentially more likely to assist the spread of covid. Exactly what Chris Witty said until about July last year then suddenly they changed their tune. I genuinely think it’s about physiological power over the people the mask is the symbol of both compliance with the rules and a sign off fear. The country will never return to normal until masks are no longer worn. Surprise surprise that today there’s yet another scary new variant bang on cue to stop the 19th of July, it will never end unless healthy people stop getting tested (cases are irrelevant it’s deaths and hospitalisations that are important) and the majority say enough is enough until then the control and power will keep sucking the government in and they will not give it up. Testing must stop once everyone that wants one has been vaccinated as vaccinated people can still test positive even if they have no or very few symptoms, all testing on a large scale of symptom less people does is create and maintain fear.

like i said on this thread before, forget this  covid 19, and new virus  for a second , the wearing of masks is very good thing . just look  at all the other germs we get from other people in a year , the ( flu, summer colds etc ) all transmitted  by all you feckin lovley human beings , send your child to school, they come back with  all maner of germs, feeling ill, and have to time off school . i really think going on public transport, planes ,etc any where people meet up and mix, masks should be worn deff , even in 5 years time if all these virus  are under control , let try and stop the spread of other people  germs , if stop me getting , somebody's flu or summer cold , i will deff keep wearing  my mask   for the next 5 years or more.
