I think the best way is to short stroke them to make them feel at their best at 12ft lb. Obviously the size of the air cylinder’s bore and stroke means that in .22 they’re happier at 16-18ft lbs. I’d imagine that they’re easier to get it right in .177, but I’ve never shot a .177 hw80 so I don’t know for sure.
