How come you’re an expert in everything ? You trying to say the days where lads chucked multiple terrier in and had twenty blokes digging one set a day the dogs were better than the ones lads keep now who have hundreds and hundreds of digs to a single dog, who could stay to ground 12 hours without giving its quarry an inch. No offence but you got to accept you know a lot about coursing dogs and plenty of lads know a lot more about a lot of other stuff.

im not an expert mate im asking questions to men that are and there not really making sense so im asking questions if you dont like that i find it strange mate

I reckon he could teach most pure whippets a thing or two. First x whippet Russell. Probably not as fast as a straight whippet but hardy, clever and brave. I wish I could have him back at that age aga

Russell X 3/4 grey 1/4 collie. This lad done way, way more than I ever expected. 22" ? Cheers, D.

its a funny subject isn't it ....this hole thing of a dog opening up....yapping... as lurcher lads we are so programed to hate and detest opening up....its to point where most lads would never ad

its a good size for whippet russel mate you sure theres no greyhounfd in there mate

Thats a typo, hes 21" tts. I was told by the breeder the dam was a whippet and I've no reason to doubt him, could've had a dash of greyhound back in her ancestry I suppose same as any whippet. The sire was a digging Russell, I forget the heigh but he wasn't big. For a while I was in touch with the owners of a few of the litter, they all turned out a similar stamp

But you’re one of those folk who ask a question then interpret the answer to suit yourself and try and be clever and make others look foolish. Don’t take that the wrong way it’s an observation.

and if you think terriers better worked more now mate you must be mad

They wouldn’t. It was a tool in there toolbox. It might of only been used twice in a season but if they needed it they had something that would hold there quarry and kill it.
