A bit of a long shot.........

Recommended Posts

As some of you are aware I have bought a Mk1 S200 split stock rifle with a nasty double crack in the hollowed out stock.  Now this gun is a project I know and some things can be sorted, some have but the stock may be a stretch too far sooooooo and here is the 'long shot', does anyone have a spare Mk1 stock or even better a T200 / S200T as they are sometimes called that they may consider selling or perhaps ask in the rfd if they might have one.

It is a long shot I know but worth asking all the same.  You can see from this photo that she is a little fragile around the grip area and a new stock would be great.

One on the bbs mk2 excellent condition

You are right, it really is a nice stock although I believe it will need slight alteration to fit the Mk1 around the bolt but  not too major.  One to watch but rather pricey.  Thank you for the heads up.

Well a few message chats and the stock is one it's way to me during this week, I hope.  I would like to have my current stock repaired, strengthened and refinished as I would like the choice of both.

Well thanks to Kalibrun giving me the tip off regarding a stock on BBS forum, I bought the stock which arrived today and now sits on my project 200 and to say I am pleased with it is an understatement. I got rid of the AA mod which was useless and long so after getting the mod / adapter off I got a new 15mm adapter and to my surprise after testing a 3D printed mod, it was cheap, very quiet and lightweight so that is also now fitted along with a new air cylinder.  Now to turn to the metalwork with some input from Si and Jimmy.  It is starting to progress.........?

Oh yes and an Airmax AO scope which although not a side focus is good enough for the time being at least.

Much much better Phil

Is the stock in good nick

Can't really tell off the pics

All ways liked them rifles

As iv sayd you can change the air cylinders out in the field if you have a spare and it's full

No need to run back to the motor to fill it up

Cracking little rifles Phil

Well you will see it very soon jimmy but it really is a lovely stock and I am going to route around in the back room at the rfd to see if there is a spare cylinder in the odds and ends drawer although I would like to have a Lanes air gauge / side fill port which look ideal.
