No was he bollocks a didn't put owt behind him till gone 18 months he was way behind. He's coming upto 4 now an he's still like a pup. I was okay sitting back as I'm into fishing an breed birds so wasn't in no rush you need a hobby mate. March time is breeding time for hares an if your knocking the good ones off with a belly full or young on the sod. You learn as you get older an have knowledge past down from decent lads but your dog you do what you do.

not your dog i mean lucas was out april getting videoed mate what good is a dog 4 year old like a pup should of had 250 hares plus put away by then mate 

a young pup knocking things up getting its nose down is learning loads mate just enjoying it’s self all comes in handy later in its life i think

Accidents happen when you let them happen mate it's all about keeping that pup on a lead when it comes to quarry being round otherwise your in trouble

why greb ?  you wouldn’t expect it to catch it but they out chasing about none stop for a few hour anyway jumping dykes in woods tackling each other ?

That's pups being pups mc but even then you've got to be careful these kind of dogs are know for injury an take time to come on. Why you think many lads on here haven't got them. Because there a f***ing nightmare lol.

I'd be just worried about it being a longer run than is comfortable. 

My collie cross caught his first at around 10 months old but I doubt it was a strong winter hare. 

If the hare was up and gone then it won't do any harm. 

I don't think I could ever hold a dog back until it's 14 months old though tbh.

known for injury mate ? these are getting knocks from a pup 

you will get ones that get injured now and again break things they get pts or petted off because they are like bone china you don’t wants these about you there born weak mate
