I’d fancy the chance of a pure greyhound on a fox a lot more than a pure saluki. 1 Quote Link to post

Maybe these breeds brought more to the coursing bred types than people realise or maybe it was a case of these dogs became the ultimate hare dogs despite these other breeds. If you see them run you need a flask and a few sarnies before or if they come back 1 Quote Link to post

Sankey put blondie to a greyhound to breed a dog for himself when he stopped running fens, not sure how good it was and never heard of any decent pups out of the dog he kept 1 Quote Link to post

The last capable dog had on hares was my 3/4 collie x greyhound, would love to see how a pure compares on the local fields I used to run. Quote Link to post

A agree 100% a can see why some lads use pure grey if breeding to tight and don’t want to use any other blood so use grey as outcross then breed back in. 1 Quote Link to post

Yea I just remembered nipper was put to a greyhound and the pups turned out slower than when he was put to a saluki, figure that one out 1 Quote Link to post

Trust me you will disappointed if you get a pure especially if your running smaller type land 1 Quote Link to post
