Where the feck do you get all the pedigrees from, you haven't written them in marker all over your bedroom walls have you? Lol

Daywalkers are the canine equivalent of trainspotters !

They have little books where they write everything down, pedigrees, Forley winners, length of slip, time of course, etc. ?

Cheers.

What's amusing @THE STIFFMEISTER, are you trying to say Lucky was a pit pony and you've seen miles better. ?

Lucky was more intelligent than most so called dog men lol

Definitely as people kept thinking that they were going to get a dog the same regardless of what they took to him .

I am fond of that lucky stamp of dog but there were too many jackers bred from him IMHO at the time and people are looking back with nostalgia , Lucky was running 20 years ago , there was  better dogs than him running at the time , Look at the calibre of bitches ran by Sankey alone and Lucky pales into insignificance.

There,s been far better dogs than Lucky Since. You dont need to do the time warp

My memory's not to good at my age, but I've been keeping written records for over 50 years, and still keep a game book.

Heres one of the earlier ones, when I was racing and matching non ped whippets;

What makes you say they were better, I've seen clips of Dancer and she doesn't look better than Lucky IMO.

And Lucky didn't do owt like?

Unless they were matched together on the same land how can you make such claims?

Again, from the clips I've seen Lucky looks the better dog.

Didnt leave a 20 year legacy , certainly not.

There was very good dogs batting around in Luckys era, Flint , Delboy, who never get any credit and seem to be forgotten as they didnt run in the same style as the dark destroyer.

No one is crabbing him , no way , the dog was a one off, and I was lucky to own dogs from him. But to rate Lucky head an shoulders above the top top dogs of his era, Annie , Candy , Class, Smokey , Fettle , Nancy , SNOWY (Who never gets a mention but was an absolute machine , see if you can see her in the forley  2003ish on you tube , she caught 7 hares that day ) just smacks of " He runs like that , no one was ever better " assumptions

I'm not talking about legacies, I'm talking about running and catching hares.

It's not just his style, the dog was given monster slips on top class hares and just oozed class.

You are arguing about dogs you've never seen fella, I'm giving my opinion on the dog, from the footage I've seen of him I haven't seen better, if you can show me clips of dogs that you think are better I'm more than happy to give my opinion.

Exactly ....A legacy.

That has to be the ultimate achievement. The fact that two decades later , People are still saying "Yeah Foxy Charlie Stuff" gives you an instant image of what the animals about.
