The one I had was keen as mustard and good mouth just didn’t have the gears, killed a few hares doubled up in front of good dogs when they had a hare tied up but couldn’t do much on her own, bred some real good pups out of her when I put her to buddy, the pups turned out faster than both parents a result of hybrid vigour I think or just that buddy was a good stud

yes mate....my memory a bit vague ...but i recon i seen him more that once....

but one day sticks out in particular ...was out on the biggest land i have walked....out by the sea near the wash....no cover at all ...and not many hares...i felt like mc that day....by christ did we walk....anyway one got up and Lenny was on it....

its one of the races that sticks in your mind....even though it wasnt my dog....it tried everything that hare...but the one thing that sticks out more than anything....is it seemed to be the fastest hare ive ever seen......it f***ing just kept motoring this thing was like an f1 car....but that dog stuck at it and got its prize after 3 maybe 4 mins.....

ive seen longer runs...but that hare was cracker..
