M0SAD 89
Hey everyone, i like the look of the Browning Maxus Semi Auto, but does anyone know if it's a magnum shotgun or not? Should i steer clear of Magnum loads etc? Any info welcome, as it appears that a simple google search is not massively revealing on this matter, which leads me to assume that it's possibly not a magnum shotgun...cheers anyway :) Quote Link to post

M0SAD 89
Thanks for the reply David, appreciated....i mean are they proofed for "Magnum" loads, such as GameBore Mammoth Hi-Bird Magnum BB 50 Grams etc, Eley Alphamax in BB or 1's and so on? Quote Link to post
Stavross 15,245
A keeper I know uses a maxus with 3 1/2” chamber and it will shoot anything you put in it, it must be magnum proofed because if it wasn’t it would be no good to him 1 Quote Link to post
M0SAD 89
Thanks very much Stavross, i appreciate your reply. I was hoping so, got some Carts i'm thinking of using when out foxing as a "Backdoor" option. Quote Link to post
Dervburner 2,549
3:1/2 maxus will take any 12 gauge load. 1 Quote Link to post

Best bet is to take it to pieces and have a look on the barrel to see what it is chambered for and also what proof marks it has. 1 Quote Link to post
