Mesh for avairy flight

What’s best mesh to use for the flight for canaries and finches.

The smallest mesh you can get is the best to keep vermin out but the normal inch by half inch stuff does the job.

And either buy it black or paint it black when you have put it up as your'll see your birds so much better with black wire..

Not sure to be honest as i have always just painted mine with a outside black and use a roller,on the topic of rollers the trays are perfect bird baths as they have a nice slope so young birds can't drown they clean so easy and you get a free paint roller when you buy one as a bird bath....

Yeah good idea and works out for multiple uses then great idea

I like 6mm square mesh painted black I can see my birds so can the predators but the butcher birds cant grab them.

Go on eBay and you want 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch but double mesh your flight and you can buy it in green plastic coated mate.if you buy the normal galvanised either paint it black or if you creosote your shed use that to.
