Guest manda
does anyone go ferreting just with the ferrets and dogs i.e no nets etc, is it much harder than using nets? the reason i ask is i have had ferrets for quite a while but just started working them and aint used nets (although i can get some nets off a pal), but i like to see the dog course them so which is better in your opinions?? Depends what you wanna do really............if you need the rabbits then nets are a must.........if you just want to see the dogs working then don't bother with nets. Or do a combination of the two..........net some holes and leave others open and give the dogs a chance (and the rabbits). Rolfey. Quote Link to post
stringer9 0
i used to just let the dogs course them but the numbers are no where near as big as when you bring both. hope this helps!!!!!! Quote Link to post
ferreter216 0
if you need to get rid of the rabbits quick then definately dogs with nets but for fun its a joy to watch the dogs chase without nets but u wont get as many rabbits Quote Link to post

It also depends on the buries you ferret. Bit of a sickener waiting for a bolt for an hour to then see the rab disappear back down the next hole! Quote Link to post
