Multivitamins

Recommended Posts

@socks, tell you what else I find making a difference to my health, full fat natural yogurt.  Been eating it regularly 3 or 4 times a week, for months now.  The mrs had gestational diabetes when she was carrying our latest addition to the family.  So she had to follow some pretty strict nutrition guidelines, and with her being dyslexic, I set about reading up on both our nutritionional needs, something I haven't done too much of for quite a few years.  The stuff is great for you.

Like I said earlier, just another suggestion.  ?

f****n funny these threads.....plutonium,microwaves,heart attacks..........geezer only asked about a multivit tab ?

Now now be fair, socks works 36hr days 465 days a year on nothing but the tears of his inferiors. It’s understandable if he needs a multivitamin once in his life to get him through the next century wh

I know it's often easier said than done and sometimes we must take advantage if working in a famine or feast type industry but cutting down on hours worked will do a man far more good than any amount

I can't say I've ever noticed a difference when I've taken supplements.

If anything they had a negative effect on me, I'm sure it was the high dosage of vitamin D3 that was giving me bad leg pains.

i dont take nothing now but was taking a cod liver oil capsule daily the 1000mg ones not quite sure if it done anything or whether it was just placebo.....but when my body feels like it needs a bit of a pick me up i buy some liquid called floradix and take 2 little caps a day one morning one evening and i think that  does really pick me up and replenish what my body is lacking at the time......i probably get a bottle every 3 to 6 months and get it from holland and barret.

cheers

all the best

Cheers for the answers guys. I suppose it’s just a mix of overwork and age lol. I’ve never been a good sleeper so I’m fukced on that front. Strangely I get my best sleep between 7-10am.

Have you or would you consider trying CBD oil to help wit sleeping?

Do you drink enough water? I militantly have 2.5l a day and in the occasion I don’t have it I really notice the difference

I do exactly the same.1L in the morning when Im walking the dog with 1/2 a lemon squeezed into it before I eat or drink anything else.I used to be a f**ker for a fizzy drink and coffee but now I have 1 coffee before I leave for work with honey instead of sugar and apart from that all I drink is water and the odd fruit juice. Its made a massive difference. Also Ive cut down fron 8 to 10 slices of white bread a day to 2slices of wholemeal toast with my eggs for breakfast and salad instead of sandwiches in my pack up also fruit instead of chocolate and chrisps. At 46 Ive found I cant get away with all the shit I could in my 20s and 30s.Even though my cholestrol and everything was on point I found I was lethargic but Ive noticed a massive difference with them changes

I eat honey every day,  and I eat marmite everyday.  Both god damned superfoods!  I never suffer with colds, flu or any other common ailments.

Your body is genetically programmed to take the vitamins and minerals it needs, through eating, digesting and processing good food, far more efficienly than tablets.

Trepidatiously awaiting for sandymere or born hunter now, to shoot me down in flames, with three pages of nutritional mumbo jumbo they've pasted and copied now!!  ?.

Anyway, just a suggestion socks.  ?

Oh yeah, and plenty of good quality sleep, without it you could eat the best diet in the world, and still feel shitty.  ?

Same as that mate, but would just add it must be real honey from a proper bee keeper not that Rowse shit you get in supermarkets as it’s mostly made from sugar and not by bees,I do a big jar a week, there are also many hedgerow things that will do you much more good than vitamins, have a look at the health benefits in rose hips as just one example, I make jam and syrup from them drink the syrup same as squash just mix with water, nature knows best we are just loosing touch with it and expecting instant results in a packet for everything ??p,s shingles are just what you get when you have been in contact with someone that has chicken pox, you catch chicken pox once and if you get it again it’s shingles so probably just coincidence rather than a sign you need more vitamins ??

I take feck all, I just eat what I think is good for me, porridge with fruit on in the morning, two sarnies and four fruits at dinner, salad at night normally and maybe a piece of toast later. At my works medical in January I was told I’d put a stone on in a year. I’ve soon lost that, in fact I’ve lost a stone and a half and feel much better for it. I’m quite active during the day, walking miles rather than driving
