Got out on the water with my lad, my brother and niece plus her boyfriend .. Loads of mackerel, few pilchard and a Gurnard.... drooped a big cuttle fish as well that took a pilchard live bait... Sun was up, the paddle out of the otter out of Budleigh was cracking... Then barbie time, fresh fish...can't beat it... promised myself I'm gonna take a few more days off, especially when the sun is up!! 34 5 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

My favourite eating fish as well mate. Was around 500 yards off and rhd sea was full of birds mate, lasted an hour and half or so then gone... Tried fishing a live pilchard for a bass, but just had the big cuttle which I dropped pulling over the side (no net..).. Was a nice few hours and a cracking feed, as long as they are fresh out of the sea there aint much better eh mate... Out sharking off Looe in 2 weeks so chucked 20 in the freezer, just in case!!
