Troutslayer 141
Just wondering what you lads think of clipped cattys? Me personally have never owned one but the ones I've seen don't seem to have a very good band life. Am I better of sticking to tying the bands on?
Shortstraw 476
I have the scout lt and occularis.....but the clips on that although the same as the scout lt they don’t function as well...oh and I have the torque as well....(they twist when tightening which is a pain) all by simple shot. Mine never ever failure at the clip end. However I have had the band sneak out of the occularis even when done correctly......that was with ,5 ish band, never had it with thicker bands. If your not familiar with the occularis there’re not the usual clips....more of a bung. Unless a natural I would personally prefer clips given the choice as long as the function well. Greyman 28,513
Get one of each, we never end up sticking with one catty anyways if you don’t like tying bands a simple cut with an hacksaw in the top of the fork, double the band up stretch and pull it into the slit, like the fork on the left,
