As you may know, they’re restricted to 6ft lbs in Britain, which is a joke, as a catapult has easily more power than that. 6 I thought it was sub 12ft lbs for y'all until you get a liscense but I think most in modified are ranging in the 15 ftlbs range but I know guys can get them a lot more powerful then that with custom parts. I'm not sure that's right mate - my old Edgun Lelya was definitely shorter than 24" and, that was ok to run at 12ftlb Quote Link to post

Without a license, we're allowed 6ftlb for pistols and 12ftlb for rifles. There's a lot of different opinions where converted pistols are concerned - the law surrounding it is a grey area so, no one really knows for sure. My belief is that a court would see a pistol as being able to be fired from 1 or 2 hands, arms out stretched and, a rifle as requiring 3 points of contact, shouldered. So, if a pistol is converted to have a longer barrel and a fixed butt, I'd be happy to up the power to 12ftlb. Quote Link to post

I’ve read that to be an air rifle, overall length needs to be 60cm minimum and I’ve also read that so long as it has a shoulder stock it’s a rifle. As such, I’m not sure now. I wonder if the police might know? Quote Link to post
