Wanted one if these for a while

Recommended Posts

Been wanting a nice multi pump for a while, but could never really justify the cost especially with my PCP. Well walking into the pawn shop today to just look around and they had this little gal in the window . They average $150-$175 new and they wanted $79.99 for this one ! Pumped it up a few times to see if it held pressure and seemed pretty good so out the door we went ?

It is possible but the 1377 is a pistol so buy the 2289 cylinder just in case you get it checked I've built one a couple years back would of been cheaper getting the proper crosman backpacker. I keep eying the Benjamin p-rod up as a little woods rifle

Actually currently working on building a little rig off a old 1377 currently has a steel breach and a .22cal barrel and some other bits and pieces. Had a guy in Canada make a stick adapter for me , hopefully when I'm all done should be similar to this, except well a pumper lolIMG_3039.jpg.f8eae96a9f57df31c1660c97aadf1d16.jpg

So found out the seals are pretty shot on the little gal won't really hold any air so it's gonna need to be re built. On the bright side I'm only looking at $20 for the rebuild kit

Do you reckon if you added a longer barrel and stock extension you'd still be bound to 6 ftlb?

Not 100% sure you get mixed opinions about it and not really clear what's defined as a pistol or rifle to be fair bit of a grey area. I know some way once a pistol always a pistol then others say if the stocks fixed it's a carbine.

I've just this second seen one shoot 177 7.9 grains 10 pumps .. Doing well a lot more without blowing the blokes hand off. 11 plus ftlb... On YT....

I had one as a young man un modified which I shot against competitive pistols with outstanding results, would be fun to modify one.

So long as it’s 24 inches overall length minimum you’re ok up to 12ft lb. doesn’t matter about barrel length until you go over 12ft lb, then it’s 12 inch minimum barrel and 24 inch minimum overall length.

I’ve got an old 1322 medalist that doesn’t hold air. I’ll look into these seal kits?

That looks interesting, what’s the power output on these in the USA wolfie? As you may know, they’re restricted to 6ft lbs in Britain, which is a joke, as a catapult has easily more power than that.

Well $13 and about 30min and she's back holding pressure and slinging pellets ?

Will say though it was off because other than cleaning the excess grease and old oil off the valve the old seals and what not looked just fine ?

But slipp d on the pretty new ones and was holding air again who knows ?

Will say though I hate the factory sights. The front is too thick for my liking and the rear is just bad in anything other than mid day lighting.
