MikeTheDog 153
A while back someone posted details of a mincer that was capable of dealing with chicken carcasses and rabbits at a reasonable price. If anyone remembers could they put a link up please.. Quote Link to post

Leadhead 0
I thought that cooked chicken and rabbit bones were not suitable to give dogs as they splinter? Would have thought they were better fed raw! Quote Link to post
ferret110 27
Boil the rabbits to kill any tape worm eggs that may be in them Quote Link to post
Hob&Jill 258
Boil the rabbits to kill any tape worm eggs that may be in them Or freeze them... Quote Link to post
brock 11
if your dogs are wormed regular it shouldnt be a problem,i wouldnt take a chance with bones that have been boiled, they splinter very easily and are a hazzard that can be avoided Quote Link to post
SkeetChamp 0
I just skin them and then boil them and then give it to them i dont take the bones out though Quote Link to post
squirreltail 15
If your mate thinks anything of his dogs he'll either bone the cooked carcase or feed it raw.Not boning cooked rabbit can be lethal to an animal, get away with it some of the time but could be painful and expensive if one of them bones get stuck somewhere or cuts up dogs insides. martin 332
As people have said, you should not cook up bones for a dog especially chicken or rabbit as they become very splintery.Feed them raw and worm your dogs(as you should be anyway). My two eat all raw food, and have done from 8wks,they love it,and they are thriving on it. Quote Link to post
