St George’s day

Tomorrow 23rd April is St George’s day . I wonder if it will be mentioned on the BBC . Eid , Ramadan , St Patrick’s day , St David’s day , St Andrew , you name it , all gets coverage, but not it seems our own patron Saint .

Pretty fair bet though that some white man will be arrested for some trumped up charge, obviously because he was caught wearing the cross, just not reported that way.

And some council, somewhere, will demand a residents remove the flags from their (council owned) properties, due to outrage.

That'll get reported. Because it'll serve as a warning to others.

I honestly think that I feel more likely to start displaying the flag of St George than I would .... say a year or two ago . All this BLM bullshit and  the black actors on the adverts and being cast in historic roles ( a black Ann Boleyn as an example) the anti Brexit BBC and general reporting in the media . All it is doing is making race an issue, an issue that before didn’t bother me much , but now it’s getting on my tits . I feel as if , as a white middle aged man , I am being marginalised and my cultural identity is being eroded more strongly and more rapidly than ever before. It is creating a divide not healing it . My wife is the least bigoted and most accepting person I know , but even she is noticing the change . 
         I wonder how the many talented and hard working white young actors out there are now leaving the job and getting a “ proper” job as all the work is going to actors of colour ?

one of the best things about living in my part of Yorkshire is the fact that unless you turn the tv on you dont come across any of this diversity bullshit as anyone stupid enough to start preaching it is libel to get a slap
