chartpolski 24,639
If they just want proof of income, and it meets their criteria, then your outgoings shouldn't make any difference. Cheers.
Ken's Deputy 4,460
I personally Really hate the thought of some jobsworth at a council nosing through my bank records. Frankly? I'd get paper copies and redact anything not directly applicable to what ever they Must know. This is also why I'd hope you ~ like me ~ only ever pay cash for the hookers and cocaine!

Ken's Deputy 4,460
Mate; What you do with your legal entitlement ~ Be it wage, pension, interest on stocks, what ever; As long as it's Your legally got money? What ever you choose to do with it it the business of absolutely No One. It's not like you're flogging off food stamps, is it? Fact that it passes through your bank account shows it's cosher enough. Big Brother already knows about it. Fact that you choose to throw your daughter a share? That could only concern Her side of the tax man or possibly Benefits system. But, that would be between Her and the IRS / SS. It Still has fukk all to do with any council offices. I'd ask the bank for print outs of your statements. Then, redact Them of all your Amazon, Daughter, what ever Outgoings. Sorry to be going all 'Wilf' on this. But, fukk me! It's fair and understandable that the new council need to know you're not a millionaire trying to pull a fast one. But, How you spend what ever you legally get?! Fukk me, No! What next? They demand receipts from your daughter, to see how she spends what you give her??? This isn't china ~ YET! Maybe you're worrying that Not telling Colchester which side you dress, and how many sheets of bog roll you use will fukk with your situation? I'd doubt it would. Up to you. Getting CAB involved, at this stage, would probably cause you more stress than you need. It's just a 'Thing' with me. You're not me
iworkwhippets 12,714
OK lads thanks maybe I'm worrying unduly surely I'm allowed to treat my own daughter
Ken's Deputy 4,460
No one will ask, mate. If you think they ever might? You were just repaying an old loan, in instalments! Let them pick the bones out of That one! 1
dytkos 17,821
They want to know how much you've got coming in so they can see if they can charge you full whack for your rent. Your outgoings won't be anything to do with that. Cheers, D.
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Ken is right .Outgoing will have no bearing on anything mate .I’d even question why they need your income as an OAP. Id definitely mark off every single outgoing no matter how small and leave only your income mate . If it’s a large sum you are gifting regularly mate you may affect anything she’s got in the pipeline so deffo mark off everything outgoing with a black marker .They asked for income proof ,give them only that . Any trouble tell them thl massive will be round to smash their windows 1
Chid 6,610
If you give them a redacted statement they can gain permission to look into your bank account anyway .. Last time I put a new claim in they didn't ask for statements just account number and sort code and they checked themselves .. wouldn't worry about any outgoing payments unless your close to the savings threshold then they might think your withdrawing money so your entitled to benefits when your not. Tbh it's more about your income than anything
thefensarefarbutistillgo 2,529
I wouldn’t start marking things out with a black marker lol, it will look suspicious like your trying to hide something and may spark further investigation
tatsblisters 10,314
I dare bet it's to see if you have any occupational pensions been paid mate some of the old boys i know who have pit pensions and steelwork pensions have to pay full everything and even pay fekin tax for the privilege on pensions as well as their state pension that takes them over the tax threshold.
