I have learned a few things on how to get a bitch in heat.Maybe it will help someone.If you have an older bitch who suddenly stops having heat cycles it is usually from a low grade infection such as a bad tooth or busted toenail.Usually if an older bitch has any small infection she won't come in heat.In this situation  i run a round of penicillin and usually  the old bitch will come in heat in a couple weeks.Im not one who uses antibiotics  much but this is one situation  I will.I have had great results with this on multiple breeds across Dixie.

Usually if a bitch isn't coming in heat its due to health or nutrition.I have been using powdered kelp to increase my bitches iodine intake.This has worked great for bringing bitches in heat including a 9 year old bitch who had never had a heat cycle.Word of caution.You must calculate the iodine in your diet correctly.Too much of it is very bad.When done right it is the best way to bring a bitch in heat.

Kelp or penicillin at correct dosage has produced better results for me than pg600.Just my opinion.
