South hams hunter 8,935
Fished a beach last night with my pal; we were the only two left on the beach and about 11 there was an almighty rumble like a low flying jet and then the grounded started to tremble. This lasted for 15 seconds or so we recon and then from our left we could see a wave building as it went across the beach, started about 4/5 ft but was around 10ft as it left our headlights. We knew it must have been part of the cliff but had no idea until this afternoon how lucky we were. We didn't stop to investigate, just got our stuff and left. Looks like it was within a 100 yards of us, here's the photo of took for view from your swim and the landslide this morning.
