Early start at first light drey poking in a small wood. We’ve had seventeen out of here now in two visits. Going Friday for one last look

Decent mate .I don’t know why our country sports champions for want of a better word ,don’t try to coordinate a national month or so on the greys to make way for a red introduction .Not as simple as that I’m aware but  it’s a start .

Most shooting gents have access to woodland however small and every grey accounted for counts towards a red in the wild where they belong .

Why don't we do it on a THL level? Maybe even bit of a competition?? A month to shoot & trap as many as you can with photos & gentleman's honour.

Yerr, same here, shot loads before Christmas, not many about now. Although I’ve got a large broadleaf wood that I haven’t been to for about six months and when I had a look I saw a few. I’ve had a lot out of there in past years. There’s a lot of beech trees that they can’t quite resist Due to lock down last year they’ve been pretty much left alone for over a year. Probably worth a visit

In interest of fairness probably have to wait to next year, maybe when pheasants finish but still not much in way of natural food abouts??
