Here’s one to play on the other foot if a dog is useless because its only used to catch rabbits (I’m speaking in general)were does that leave specialist dogs used for just one roll deer, fox, pigs, hare, rats if the owner has no interest in nothing else bar the quarry he/she has the dog for?out of all these quarry what is the most valued I think in my eyes any quarry caught by your dog/s has the same face value as a catch is a catch none rates higher than another were purpose bred is concerned 1 is 1 so the way I look at it is a man can go do 40 fox or what ever a season with his purpose bred killing dog but a man can go lamp and catch 150 rabbits with his purpose bred rabbit dog who dogs worked the hardest? I’d say the rabbit dog because that’s it’s purpose an there’s a higher body count but you can’t through the shoe on the other foot because it don’t fit when it comes to purpose bred dogs you can only compare like for like dogs for there specialist game. ?

Thing is with that type of scenario is the fox dog will probably be able to put a few rabbits in the bag or a few deer and maybe the odd hare but the rabbit dog probably won't be able to put the foxes away
