mC HULL 12,958
I’m not saying whippet xs aren’t handy but a 3/4 grey 1/4 bull fast over hundred yards Quote Link to post
jcm 2,327
Got a little dog that has taken alot of foxes but by no means a specialist fox dog and tbh took alot more time to finish his quarry then say a bull x however his son was a fox only dog and was a hell of a dog on them catch them for fun and dispatched them very quick one was 21tts and other 22tts. 10 Quote Link to post

I’m educated enough on whippets an out an out foxing dogs mate my working dog career started out with them then moved on ive not said a small dog can’t do em I’ve seen an owned small dogs that could kill them but they weren’t fox dogs.my comment is still the same why would any man that keeps killing dogs want to add a straight whippet that’s not a killing dog in hopes of producing a killing dog a smart killing dog that’s a specialist knows how to run catch an kill fast. If my comment is wrong there’s a lot of foxing lads with the wrong bred dogs for there needs out there...just my opinion it could be wrong could be right who knows but what I see is not many killing dogs that went to straight whippet 1 Quote Link to post

A half whippet would take too much stick in a night to be out the next night and certainly wouldn't be able to do it week in week out. They havent got the power imo and wouldnt add anything to a fox dog 4 Quote Link to post
