It's another thing that can be talked about but nothing done about it

Ahh, you can do stuff mate if only in a small way.

I don’t use chemicals on my land, I avoid soya based cattle feed, I farm as natural and traditional as possible.

Big industrial agriculture is an act of ecological vandalism mate.

So I do that small little drop in the ocean but it it helps ?

I think highlighting issues is the first step personally..

Humans will eventually devastate this planet, of that there is little doubt...but we are intelligent and things have to be highlighted for us to have any chance of reversing the affects...

Look at the little things we have seen mate... introduction of bass nurseries in estuaries...thousands more bass around.

Then you look at the prevention of deforestation or the re planting programs...

Solar energy, wind energy etc etc...

No idea on how to reduce or stabilise the population though, but something has got to give..

I completely agree we as individuals can do small things to help the environment but we can't stop the population expansion.

This is what the film told me mate:

Africa is having way more kids than anyone else in the world, way above replacement level and their living standards are shite.

Britain is not having nearly enough kids to replace ourselves but we are consuming too much.

A stat I found interesting was that if everyone in the world consumed at the same rate as people in Britain we would need 2 extra planet earths to sustain us !!
If they matched Americans, we would need 4 !!

We need to have more kids I agree, but we can't dictate to another country how many children they can have.

We can’t dictate but we can modify our behaviour towards them.

As was said in the film, when these places experience lack of water, food, war we keep stepping in........it left that comment hanging.

I've never minded Packham at all, fcuk me I have pals who think hunting is cruel.

I didn't agree with his views on many things but I'm not going to pretend to create hate for the man when it just isn't there.

Speaking of the massive rise in population and industrialisation, it hurts to see the destruction of our planet but I just can't see a way how we can reverse things.

We are our own worst enemy and I feel we will bleed the earth of all it's beauty.

It's not a matter of if, just a matter of when.

I agree that there's too much pollution in the earth,we can all do are bit regarding pollution, but you only have to look who's polluting the most,it's not your average man on the street.
