OldPhil 5,801
Yeah, I'm not much for books,..my collection have all gone to good homes, but I do remember receiving a copy of Dutch's Salmon's Coursing book. I could readily see that Dutch was a genuine 'good old Boy' and he sure seemed to love his hunting... There was a lot of images of Whippet, Greyhound and Saluki's, all running together on a Jack rabbit, kinda thing... Not really my bag,...although I've seen plenty of accidental slips (both daytime, and God -Forbid, at Night)_ To me,..a pack of jukels, tight on the arse of a hare, always looks a tad messy... Mind you,..different country, different strokes I suppose... Facts are, Books bring a whole lot of pleasure to lads, and that is the most important thing... Stay safe Brothers,...all the best, OldPhil. Edited September 1, 2021 by OldPhil

THE STIFFMEISTER 16,074
There’s been a plethora of management / leadership books out last few years but if I’m honest , I’ve recycled most of the power / vision x people = time venom diagrams to death and they bore me . but one book stands out massively for me I. This genre , I’ve recently re read it again as part of a little project and I carried out a little experiment at work . two weeks past , I noticed the fenced recycling area at work was stuffed with leaves etc , so I moved the bins and started sweeping an improbably large area at dinner time . I didn’t ask or approach anyone for help , people walked past and stared , pointed , or asked “ what you doing That for ? “ I was pretty civil and smiled etc but weirdly 1 lad came over , a Fijian , and said the exact phrase I was after “ you are never too big to do small things “ If you’ve never read it , I highly recommend it as a small present for a stocking filler . legacy by james Kerr is a book about the identity , ethos and culture of the all blacks , a very simple set of 15 rules to live by in your career , your life , your passions . game changing . 1

True story about that book, or least ways some of the autographed copies. A friend of mine was very well known in the cannabis world, was also a good friend of Howard and invited him to his place in West London to autograph a load of Mr Nice books as my mate was flogging autographed copies. Both he and Howard got seriously stoned and all thoughts of autographing 500 books went out of the window. Howard flew to Spain the next day so my mate thought f*ck it and began signing Howard's signature himself, I even did a few copies when I went over, ignorance is bliss.
