Anyone read Albert Pierpoints autobiography? Britain's most famous hangman. 3rd generation executioner. Hung Ruth elis and most of the nazis

Yeah ,read it mate ,and it's quite interesting how the whole hangman thing works ......but he makes a big thing about not giving away any of the last words\actions of his customers ,...No juicy gossip I suppose ...which reflects well on him ,but somehow you feel short changed after reading it .

I read Pierpoint hung one of his regular pub customers.

Watch the film 'Let Him Have It' for a great insight to how someone is hung. ?

His best mate, according to the film.

" Let Him Have It " I'd have to look up. I saw " To Discourage The Others ". Original TV docudrama about the Craig and Bentley case.

Must admit; It did rather underline why some, even on this far left echo chamber, say they wouldn't want to trust the government with the ability to legally kill a citizen.

Load of old school ties, in their Gentlemens Clubs. Declaring, over their fine brandy that a copper went down and, 'Some barstards gonna swing for this!'

Dunno. Maybe we should bring in a law just for sand niggers ....?
