Bosun11 537
White trabs can be ok with shorts in summer, provided the shoe is a classic (Adidas) ya ain't got some 'cnuty' sock hanging out the top of em I'd add that some of the newer style platform fashion trabs look pure shite on anyone, old or fecking young..!! chartpolski 23,851
Talking of "dress codes"; I was at a funeral on Monday at a tiny pit village. It was about a 50/50 mixture of pikeys and old miners and their families. The dress code was remarkably similar; dealer boots, jeans, waistcoats and suit jackets and flat caps ! It was more like a party than a wake, some women even had party frocks on. A very nice send off ! Cheers.

Nicepix 5,650
You should see the middle age men who inhabit our local Lidl. Long greasy hair and unkemp beard, fleece jogging bottoms, a T Shirt they bought at a pop concert in the 70's and is now three sizes too small and Crocs. Their wives are the same except for the beards and Crocs. They wear slippers to shop in. Dirty, lazy barstewards!

Its the same over here, nobody dresses up or wares black at a funeral except the family !……you see blokes in wellies and high viz jackets and all sorts, it’s a totally alien notion to me. I was always bought up that it’s black suit and tie and white shirt for funerals, I’d feel weird if I went in my every day togs. 6

They have to be very plain and understated that’s for sure mate, I can’t get my head round older blokes cutting about in these things that look like a bouncy castle !

I'm the same, I've got my wedding suit and shoes and my funeral suit and shoes in the wardrobe. I only went to the wake at this funeral, so dressed casual but respectful. I would have looked like a tally man or some sort of official to the mourners if I'd gone in full funeral garb ! Cheers.
