JakeFury 225 Posted March 21, 2021 Report Share Posted March 21, 2021 Crikey fellas I've had some terrible luck. It starts off with a cheap hunter that dropped a coil. Was replaced under warrenty with a very powerful and accurate version, that was no where near as nice aestheticallly as the old one. Then my Hatsan just didn't even show up. How my little Lightening XL SE brand new was fitted without barrel Shims and has also had to be returned. If you. figure in an Airmax with a crooked Ret. I think the demand on our sport caused by lockdown might be causing some rush jobs on Friday afternoons... Anyway the worst of luck struck when a customised HW stock I was refinishing cracked.. It had some strange grain patterns was not pretty around the pistol grip at all after stripping.... After all the mods had been installed before stripping.... . Irreparable from the side rail into the trigger "well"... Write off.... Totally gutted money down the pan. Archhh!... I'd like to be able to own up to it. But... It was just wood waiting to go. Anyway.... This leaves me with a comp prepared springer with no stock. I've been chatting with Warren Edwards and seriously looking at a CS1000 these guys are the only people I can reach at the moment. CS1000 was heavily recommended by Tony Wall for a 97, Warren's stuff is nice, but I'm uncertain about communication with him... And the apparent lack of stipple or checkering on his designs. He seems like a lovely guy, probably busy as hell. Maybe the 1000 is a beafy monster but a good rep? Help me out people... Is there anyone else active at the mo? Shall I wait on Warren and go through a time costly and possible error prone design phase choosing stocks from blanks. Or buy a CS1000, others haven't responded to email. Ranges will he open soon and I need to finish this and start practising!.. Rather than shooting knockdowns and paper with hunting springers... Which although fun is a way off....
