mooching and ferreting

Well i cant say much but i have a 14 week old Beddyxwhippet wheaton he should be between 20-23 tts and i will use him for ferreting longnetting bolters and so on i hope he turns out to be good i took him out to day to break him in to a 12b he was not in the slightest bit botherd so im looking forward to getting him out more.

SO ITS NOT DOING NOTHING ITS A PUP WONT INFO ON DOGS DOING IT :no: not one that are lap dogs at the min

Ok i see what you mean i have an old dog rehomed him not sure on the breeding looks like whippet greyhound thing 21tts never goog on the lapm but brill on holding bolted bunnys good with the ferrets and never disturbs the nets .

My best ferreting dog I had was a whippet x springer spaniel.

100% at marking, never touched the nets, but caught those that slipped the net.

What set her apart though was that she would mark layed up ferrets and 'paw' the ground directly over them, she was rarely wrong.

Sadly that was 25 + years ago and it's like a lot of things you only realise what you have got until they are gone.

This bitch was good in her day, excellent nose, great catch rate, tons of stamina, never needed nets with her, she caught most of what came out of the warrens. She is collie/greyhound about 23" :thumbs:
