Stavross 15,781
They have shot up, not that long ago I was paying £6.50 for 25 clear pigeon ( 32g 5’s / 6’s fibre) they are now £7.90 the stuff we chucked at the pheasants this season was about £11 a box, when you are buying 250 at a time it’s a big jump in price Quote Link to post
Meece 1,957
we could do with a bit more info. How much. Which brand? What spec.? Where from.? I'm ok at the mo because there's been no shooting for months and I've got slabs in stock. You'd think that because of low demand due to no game shoots and closed clay grounds that they'd only be too pleased to sell a few not stack the price up. I suppose that we will have to shop around and tell them that we ain't paying stupid prices. Quote Link to post

Meece 1,957
Hey Wolfey. I thought that you'd got frozen to the ground or one of those gators had got you. It's strange that there is a general ammo shortage over there. Although I haven't needed any ammo recently because there hasn't been any shooting because of covid lockdown and I've got a fair stock of shotgun and rifle ammo in stock along with the stuff to reload, I'm pretty sure that if I we're to go to the local shops that there would be no problem with asking for a thousand cartridges and enough rifle cartridges to fill my allocations. They might not have a thousand Target rounds like RWS or Lapua on the shelf , ( because they are more specialist ammo) but they could probably get them in for me, in a week. Edit... just as a marker point, here is a link to a UK online supplier but there's loads more Just Cartridges | Shotgun Cartridges Delivered Nationwide WWW.JUSTCARTRIDGES.COM Just Cartridges is the largest retailer of shotgun cartridges in the UK. Order online now and get your cartridges delivered directly to your door. Nationwide... Edited March 12, 2021 by Meece Quote Link to post

Though the new gun control their trying to pass is not helping at all. Price gouging is out the wazoo and what's irritating is most of these people hording it all don't even shoot that much That and lots of folks are buying it to resell at a markup. Saw a guy on facebook with a tailer full of Wolf .223 and 7.62x39 ( just the cheap steel case stuff ). Asked how much he was selling it for and he says $600 for a thousand round case of .223/5.56 and $500 for the 7.62x39. told him he was full of it because that's over 2x normal priced and he just said " Someones gonna buy it at what ever price I ask" Edited March 12, 2021 by Wolfdog91 Quote Link to post
shovel leaner 7,650
Look at the price of that ammo . That is the price I was paying here 20 years ago . I remember buying 1000 clay cartridges for around £80 Sterling when I was clay shooting regularly. You need deep pockets now to go clay shooting. I was talking to someone the other day about where I the world you would like to live . I said without hesitation Florida , great weather ( apart from the bad weather) great fishing and guns , lots of guns , and cheap ammunition. 1 Quote Link to post

It’s the only place I’ve visited that I didn’t want to race back home from . We visited the keys , but instead of paying stupid money to stay there we stayed in Homestead and drove there every day . My wife said “ is it safe here “? “Sure it is “ I said , I then went and googled the violent crime stats for the area and it was in the top 10 most dangerous places ....... as Kenny Rogers said , “you could of heard a pin drop as I turned and closed the door “. 1 Quote Link to post
