philpot 5,003
Last year with Covid19 taking an awful hold on the UK, the game fair and most other fair were cancelled, Trish and myself had tickets and were transferred to this year thinking we would be all clear and everything back to normal, same with our hotel bookings. This year in our third lockdown and whilst we are getting the jab and numbers of deaths are dropping, thankfully, the thought of being at the game fair with 100k other people quite honestly frightens the life out of me. We were at the game fair a few years ago when there was plenty of rain and everyone was cramped inside the stands, just imagine what that would do now. Jimmy, Si, Trish and myself used to meet up at the Northern Shooting Show and really enjoyed both seeing eachother as well as the show but is this a sensible route to take in 2021. Trish and I have decided to cancel all the shows, shooting related fairs and most of the other things we had planned including hotel bookings and whilst the game fair is not until July, I had an email stating that now the show is being allowed to go ahead, ticket sales have gone crazy.......................................is it me or it is bloody insane to bring so many people together in one crowded place. I heard on tv last night there will be some music events taking place as well this year. Boris you have my support sir but these events in my humble opinion should not be taking place this year.
