WELL MB ,

CATCHING 15 CAN TAKE SOME DOING ON CERTAIN GROUND ,

DRY STONE WALLS AND PIG MESH FENCES ..... " DO " ...... MAKE FOR EASIER CATCHES .......... THOUGH TO QUOTE A MATE

" NONE OF THE FECKERS COME UP WAVEING A WHITE FLAG " ...........

PERSONALLY ............ WELL....... TO BE HONEST IAM RUNNING THE SLOWEST DOG IVE EVER HAD ,

A FIRST CROSS BULL BITCH THATS VERY LIGHT AND FAST FOR THE CROSS , BUT ONE HELL OF A LOT SLOWER THAN MY PREVIOUS RUNNERS ............

AND .......... I CAN STATE ,........ THE BEST CATCH BITCH IVE HAD ,.......... SHES HAD MORE " GAME " THAN ALL BUT ONE OF MY DOGS AND IS STILL ONLY 3 .

YEP ............ IMO ......... SPEED WITHOUT " OTHER " IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTES IS VERY OVERATED

ALL THE BEST

DUCKWING :big_boss:

i couldnt agree more speed isnt everything

But......A dog that has the speed AND can go up and down the gears as required will take some beating at freezer filling.....IMHO....JD

4 sure, the ones who know how 2 use the speed when its neaded are the good ones, not the 1 gear dogs flat out every time..

I think all 3 dogs are good looking dogs but i do like the rough coated as im a lover of the rough coated dogs.but thats just a lady hunters point of view.

with experiance comes gears  usually, the brindle is on her 3rd season with a fair bit of experiance and beleave me she has got gears, the black one her 2 nd season and is coming on excellant, but the gearing down isnt as good as the brindle but in my oppinion ive not seen a dog catch rabbits as good as the brindle  she makes it look easy, mark the black one does regulary catch the 20 mark but shes still to head strong she gets it from her sire, but like i said in the past that gives her a very strong prey drive and somtimes thats handy  mark

sounds like u know whatr your talking about, the people out doing this night after night will tell you that not only is mark running a dog that knows its shit ,he is putting the dog in the right places . field craft only comes with experience and in my opionion is skill that if mastered then that makes u a lurcherman so mark has erned his right to his opinion.

u ever want some company just ask me and my dogs would learn something.

LOL had trouble with this computer, would only let me on new sites that i've joined could only stay on the sites ive been on like this one for a minute before the page got deleted, still having trouble now, may just get a new one.

Anyway I'm back so you will have to watch what you tell every one LOL . surprised you find the rabbits in the daff fields hard as my dog find them easy, as the rabbits cant run at full speed like a hare running on plough.

you want to do the ones over here on simmons land it is the hardest terrain ive run the bunny on on the lamp and think its harder then plough as its hard to spot the rabbit with the height of the mounds, are keep the lamp on it,mark
