Fukking horrific! Prior to that, I'd been going round my perimeters each morning, putting out cheese on fence posts and such, for the little birds. Had robins virtually landing on my hand as I dropped it. Half a dozen feeding points. Birds at most of them. Since that snow? Lucky to see One fukking robin. But, this is to the tune of up to half a dozen birds, vanished over night. Synchronised disappearing act, with that snow. Poor little fukkers won't be nesting now. I think that you ought to do a bit more research into the facts. ...A few of the turbines have frozen up but the majority are working. The reason that the ones that did freeze up was that they aint designed to operate in sub zero temps is because it doesn't get down to these low temps in Texas. Wind turbines work in Sweeden. Most of Texas electricity is generated by coal and gas. It's just an extraordinarilycold spell that their not geared up for. Fact check: Frozen wind turbines don't deserve all the blame for Texas blackouts WWW.USATODAY.COM Wind turbines produce a fraction of Texas' power and aren't winterized. But everyone owns a tank for the commute so at least they are a little bit prepared.
