Greys at night

Has anyone had a go at drey poking at night in the dark? Someone standing by with a gun and lamp or NV while somebody else pokes the drey? I’m sure I read on here somebody mentioning they had done it. I’m still  getting a request to remove some greys and I can’t shoot during the day because of the public and trapping is the same, too many prying eyes, cheers

Night vision wouldn't be any good. If you look into trees at night you can't see much of anything as the I/R reflects off of what ever is closest. Even with a lamp you would have a similar problem. Could you dray poke first thing in the morning using guns with moderators?. I use number 5 shot in a .410 Baikal fitted with a Hushpower mod. It still makes a bang but shooting straight up it isn't that noticeable as that's where the sound wave goes.

What about using well hidden traps on the ground, or traps set high up on the tree trunk, out of arms reach? I feel anything else is a waste of time.

Apparently drey poking at night is possible, think a few terriers around the tree is better than a gun. Try lamping the drey and giving it a poke

Feeder shooting at night very possible .My trail cams alway picking up squigs on the feeders all hours.

In January .Not light til 7.30 bud ,think about it .I’ve deleted most of the other night pics of squirrels as clogging the I pad up which don’t take much I’ve found .
