billybunter 72 Posted January 13, 2008 Report Share Posted January 13, 2008 its no wind up novice one of the top tunny fishermen from the 20s & 30s was a mr L.MITCHELL-HENRY and author of many tunny fishing books and designed many reel rods and hooks for tuna and also world record tunny holder of 851lbcought on 11/9/1933 heres a extract from one of his books called tunny fishing at home and abroard printed in 1934 the auther with his world record tunny 851lb caught on the improved mitchell-henry reel on a line of 152lb breaking strain mitchell -henry hook bait, mackerel time,1 hour 47 minutes boatman, harry wray tender, "success" place, 40 miles of whitby date 11/9/1933 Quote Link to post
