It's strange,  two of the son in laws are freaked by snakes and apart from the adder which is rare, we dont have snakes.  One of them repairs machinery and once someone had dumped a dead pet anaconda into a waste recycler.  The snake was massive like your thigh size. he wouldn't  get anywhere near the machine.

New labour at the time estimated it would cost 9million. 90million when they were finished lol.

It was profitable to buy loading gear and load ammo with sand, take it to the nick and repeat.

HM government  had to have made special machinery to safely chop all the ammo up and burn the powder off. All the sand kept putting the flame out , idiots.

Some had basic engraving done quickly to get more back.

The down side ofcourse was it promoted the deer proficiency stuff because all the pistol shooters bought stalking rifles and camo clothing with the tags still on it!

And of course some of the handed in handguns went missing and handgun crime increased!

There was boom,  boom !  ... they were only shooting a 45 up at fighting ducks. Someone could have been killed.  Silly beasties.   It's the sort of thing that they did in Iraq.  they didn't give a monkeys about if someone got hit by fall out.  What happened to the edit button .?

Ok thanks. Edit... It works.  Why remove the  edit button.?  I don't think the Mrs would be amused if I  went and moved all the cutlery into a box somewhere.

Actually yes I've had rattl snake a few times ,always had a fishy taste to me but it's kinda on if those things what you do on a non regular basis lol. Intresting story BTW

Lol thanks was looking for shade mainly because of the sun getting in my face while shooting. Temps have been all over the place,one minute it's 21 degrees next day its 85 but thats weather in south mississippi for you lol. And as for my "back garden it's a bit more than that lol. Here's a batter view about 150yd from my back door.

The little green section in the top left had corner is where I was shooting.

Plenty of open space.  Good rifle ground . Do you get many deer there.?   Considering we sort of went metric in about 1970   I don't understand Fahrenheit temperatures anymore. measurement though is a mix of paces, yards and metres. It's like liquid measurement is a jumble of pints, litres,  Gallons. Still we understand a muddle through.

Lol sorry about that just check on the Google conversion deal and 21f is about -6c and 85f ( which is a nice mild temp for most of us down here) is 29.4c. if that helps lol. And yeah it's a decent bit if space so far the longest stots I've made where from the pond bank to the end of the pasture across the way with us like 406yd 371m. Would like some longer ranges but what can you do lol. 

And yeah we do but heir two deer camps within a mile and they run feeders and what not almost year round so the deer and most other game stay need up in their property's. And my cross over from time to time.

Gotta ask what are they gonna do about the new 3D printed hand guns and rifles ? Got stuff gloating around right now where you can down load a file and 3d print 80% glocks and what not. Heck my AR's lower was 3d printed out of polymer ( I bought it commercially ). Like really inly componets in needs are the silde and a barrel and you can get them through the dar.......lemme stop ,

Also are people over there starting to see the value in defending them selves ? Here lots of stuff about knife stabbing and gang crime over there . And from reading some of the stuff from the general forum I'm kinda surprised  folks aren't at parliaments door steps demanding the right to conceal carry or similar.  Then again I'm an American an you know how we think ,.

P.s not trying to start anything I swear  I'm just extremely curious from y'all' s point of view
