Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Pot roast beef yesterday

tonight was Cumberland sausage, cream mash, cavolo nero and home made shallot gravy ( P.S. the sausages were chipolata style so I had a couple more)

To be honest , even if I were wildly rich , I don't think that I could bring myself to pay those prices mack .  I think that the feeling of being ripped off , would taint the taste of the food for me.

I'm all for someone making a decent profit and a good living , but those prices just scream rip off.

My stepson worked as a chef at Hugh fearnly wittingstalls restaurant in Bristol,  and he's always said that it's the best quality food of any restaurant( and hes worked in some very posh places) that he's ever worked in , and that the prices were sensible.

many years ago in norwich jamy oliver opened up a small resteraunt .....it was horrifically expensive and always totally packed out........then all of a sudden people stopped going...then couple of weeks later it closed...never to be seen again..

these type of places have a shelf life..

I am doing a course next week then heading away for a while, but i am going to research that place and will visit it in the future and eat there, you sold me on it.

the most memorable meals don’t have to cost the earth,I ate at a Michelin star place which from memory cost me under £20 including a coke.

I like the look of that grub mack 👍.

My stepson said that hfw insists that his front of house staff , never tell the kitchen staff when he arrives and eats at his restaurant,  so that he gets the same quality of food as the customers.

My stepson must be a decent chef , because he can even make vegan food taste amazing 😄.
