Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

I’ve not had them for years, my old man used to get them from the local butcher, they were made with pigs liver and heart, he’d do them with mash and veg, sometimes with an onion gravy, they were mine and his Saturday treat as my mam and brother wouldn’t eat them

Very similar to my grandparents - there was either liver bacon and onions, faggots or, savoury duck (in that sort of theme) - grandad would make it with pig bits and roasted fat, slow cooked. Similar to yours, with gravy and veg

My cousin once got through most of a plate before she found out that there was no duck in there

Although, I must admit, I haven't heard it called that for years - happy memories

I love all the old grub my dad used to do, rabbit stews, soups made from any left over roasts, if he did a roast chicken on Sunday, we’d get til Wednesday out of it and you’d never feel like you’d been short changed, lamb neck, beef shin, whatever was the cheapest in the butchers, liver and onions, I think that would be my death row last meal, don’t really get to eat stuff like that anymore because the missus won’t eat it, if you tell her what it is she won’t even try it, oh yeah, and she thinks McDonald’s is a restaurant ( lol )

Mine's the same mate  but, to give her credit, she can knock up a nice old fashioned meal if I request it. She has to Google the recipes though

....... She won't eat rabbit, squirrel, pigeon or Pheasant when I bring it home. Women eh?

I tend to avoid McDonald's - it's the best tasting laxative that I've ever had

I always say if I want to hide anything from her I just put it in the oven, I think she thinks it’s just another cupboard with a glass door

whenever she goes to McDonald’s she’ll always ask if I want anything, she always gets the same response “ I’d rather eat the box it comes in “

Please, Mack, awww come on, don't do this to us, it's a fuckn courgette!!

Recipe said zucchini, labelled in Farm Boys store as Zucchini, bought as a Zucchini,it’s a Zucchini.Thinking of doing Spanish garlic zucchini,Zucchini is such a cosmopolitan word I think, whereas courgette has its limitations.
