great food ........i was going to do a roast chick and stuffing etc for today...but ive been bed bound for 2 days sick as a pig from the seasonal flu-jab...........have only just recovered....so will probs do it 2 moz

I went for a chicken (butchered and boned into quarters) fried in butter with half a dozen cloves of garlic, removed from pan when coloured nicely and sliced and put in a casserole dish.

Into the remaining butter and sticky chicken residue in the pan went diced brown mushrooms and finely sliced onion, fried until coloured then chicken stock and double cream and all the bottom of the pan scraped.

This sauce was then poured over the sliced chicken and the whole lot given 40 minutes in a hot oven.

Bit of plain white rice…..job was a good un.

I didn’t take a photo, I just stuffed it in my face !

I have been in some really nice restaurants that didn’t have that level of presentation,superb,that dish is visually attractive from the off.

Little place just outside Montreal,the biscuits and clam chowder were fantastic,eat all you can shrimp cooked eight different ways,I am stuffed.
