WILF 47,810 Posted October 29, 2023 Report Share Posted October 29, 2023 I went for a chicken (butchered and boned into quarters) fried in butter with half a dozen cloves of garlic, removed from pan when coloured nicely and sliced and put in a casserole dish. Into the remaining butter and sticky chicken residue in the pan went diced brown mushrooms and finely sliced onion, fried until coloured then chicken stock and double cream and all the bottom of the pan scraped. This sauce was then poured over the sliced chicken and the whole lot given 40 minutes in a hot oven. Bit of plain white rice…..job was a good un.
