Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread..

13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

I did roast beef , seemed patriotic lol, all was well until I tasted gravy and it had a bitter taste of burnt so bisto came out, the saving grace were the roast spuds possibly my best, meat was slightly over but Yorkshire's and stuffing made up for it.....

I’ve got a rib roast on a slow cook in the bbq with mixed veg on the lower tray cooking and catching all the fat off the rib

Belly pork in maple syrup and, she made an apple pie with apples from her mates garden - nice sharp apples with plenty of cinnamon

Missus is on holiday so I get to do meal for one all week

venison casserole with chive and black pepper mashed potatoes ( no red wine in the casserole, I think it ruins it, I use balsamic vinegar) it was lovely, going for a venison curry for tea tomorrow

Venison curry tonight, I got the chilli’s out the father in laws greenhouse, I picked some called apache, they were only small so I left the seeds in and chopped 2 and in they went, two mouthfuls and my eyeballs started to sweat, didn’t stop me finishing it but next time I think I’ll us 1 or at least take the seeds out bog roll already in the fridge

Just been to poppies chippie in Soho,great retro deco from another era, really nice meal then my mate said I am feeling lucky, let's go into the hippodrome (casino) where he lost 3 grand in 20 minutes

No exaggeration,he has probably lost a million quid in his life, we popped into a pizza shop once, while waiting for the pizza he popped into a bookies over the road and lost £800 but he has had a few decent wins £96k and £40k earlier this year.
