Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Must say, I had a bloody lovely beef steak, tonight :) I microwave it and it comes out fine, believe it or not.

Only trouble is, I'm clean out of anything else to go with it. But, I spotted an old bag of battered onion rings in the freezer .....

Again, they come out pretty well. Only trouble is, I'm now painfully aware that I'll wake up tomorrow with a mouth tasting like I've sucked on the rank arsehole of Hades!

Ok, sit down before you hurt yourself ?‍♂️?

Soak the chickpeas in cold water with a teaspoon of bi-carb, for 24 hours. Rinse and then cook them in boiling water until soft ;)

Mush'; They've been soaking, since last night. Haven't altered one iota. Is that to be expected? They're still hard as ball bearings in that pot.

@keepdigginJust to give you an idea of where jalapeños are on the scale

But if the pizza is laced with chilli powder then it will seem much hotter as powder tends to cling to your mouth unlike fresh chillies

Can't hold a candle to the chocolate bhutlah, pissing myself at him.

Yes, you need to cook them in fresh water and a teaspoon of bi-carb after the long soak. Just keep topping the water up, until the chickpeas are soft enough ;)
