Probably aim for a 2/3 o'clock lunch so they're coming down off sugar rush.

My missus has already put forward the menu, she wants leek and potato soup with Parmesan and garlic croutons, choice of chicken or beef, must come with creamed cabbage, the rest of the veg is up to me, then cake and custard, but has to be a choice between vanilla and lemon ( lol ) I’d of gone, chicken liver pate, venison, Bakewell tart, then some good cheese, but they are people of simple tastes

Ah I'm feeling a brisket and coleslaw sandwich coming on....

Bush Rummager 4,534 Posted Sunday at 19:39 Report Share Posted Sunday at 19:39 Got this made for the old boys 70 th birthday today. I thought the 'marching on together' was a nice reference to us in the family staying close and sticking together after losing my mum a while ago. Just had a slice, was ok but wish I'd have got some cream in!! 7
