Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Tried a 'cheeseburger pie' tonight.

Fried off mushrooms, onions and some home grown smoked bacon. Added to that a pack of mince, fried it all off together. Put it in a Pyrex dish.

Whisked up 6 fresh eggs with about 100ml double cream, add 50g grated cheese and stir in. Mix this into Pyrex dish. Add grated cheese on top.

200deg 30mins.

Few Jalapeños to dress. Low carb and bloody lovely. 👍

It was lovely. Only thing I would say is it fell apart in the middle. I didn't mind to be honest but reckon few more eggs and it may have held together like a quiche.

How about cooking a giant burger first then adding into to the layers, maybe bread is hardest to substitute, but later of tomatoes, layer of cheese later of onion or relish .....
