Ahh right! Cheers for that.. I'll pick some up then. I do suffer from a bit of reflux too so that's a Brucey bonus if it helps with that. I've been having chopped up dates to sweeten my porridge up in the morning.. very moreish though if you have a sweet tooth. I could wipe a full packet out in one sitting! Lol..

I've been terrible with it of late as well, think chocolate and ale are definitely trigger foods.

Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

As I said, I can and do eat a lot of healthy food, I just can eat a lot of shite as well. I have noticed when I do night shifts that they play havoc with my guts.

Working nights f**ks all sorts of stuff up mate!

I know, this job that I took in July is around 50% nights, no good for me as I don't sleep. I think it makes you crave shite food as well. Lol

Totally agree pal. I haven't worked nights for a good 7/8 years now but I did a 6 year stint nonstop when I was on them. All the other lads on nights were the same with their eating on nights. Only good thing about nights was getting out with the dingos for poke about with the dazzler in the small hours after work. I ended up stuck on nights though to do the school runs in the day!

Tbh mate I rarely eat anything when at work, it's just I feel shit the day after and crave shite. Aye, it's no good for the body & mind, don't know if I will stick it, not worth your health.

I sure I have put this up before but be tolerant of me you do tend to repeat yourself as you get older.

Right did a ferreting job for a Guy that owned a bakery, not your average baker all Sour dough and healthy kinds of bread. Well we done the job and got talking about the field he wanted to grow old fashion grains. He explained that modern grains had evolved faster than our body's can cope.

He asked me if I suffered from reflux?  Which I replied yes I think its cheese.

He then asked did I eat White bread?  Yes again.

He then said try Granary bread. He gave my mate and me a loaf of his bread as a thank you for clearing the rabbits.

I swopped out White bread for full Granary for my work sandwiches and the reflux gone. Honest gone like a bloody miracle. The only thing wish I had found out earlier as my Brother-in-Law suffered from reflux bad ended up with cancer of the oesophagus. Had big operations and got rid of it only for it to come back in his liver and else where. Only lasted a few weeks.

Cheers Arry

It certainly does mate especially nights regular. The eight years the wife worked 12 hour nights in a mental health care home had a devastating affect on her health causing her to have an undetected stomach ulcer that led to her having an heart attack a year after she had left the job.

Yeah, I've read that. Chronic reflux puts you more at risk of developing esophagus cancer, all that acid can't be good for your throat.
