Seen hundreds of westerns, I love em,  but I've never seen cowboys sat around a campfire eating RICE.

What's the deal here, ditchy  just your take on it?

Does look very good mind.  👍

Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Same here, in the past.  I could easily do half a tiger loaf of bread, with welsh salted butter on, and a tin of beans.

Well did I ever drop a bollock. No pics cause no evidence. In my last post, in the background was venison ready for the next batch of pasties. Nicely diced and ready. Now the lovely one says do not put the slow cooker on in the kitchen cause she don’t like stinking the place out. So, out to the garage I go and get the thing going. Return to kitchen and lo and behold a spaniel licking his lips. Little git had upwards of 1 kilo in a matter of seconds. Ah well. My loss. Jok.

I,m the same , loved bread. Only a treat now again with burgers. As it doesn't agree with me. And I switched rice to cauliflower rice, which isn't too bad when mixed with a chilli or a ruby murry.

I just get frozen cauliflower rice from Morrison's and it's 5 mins in microwave or stir fry it with minced beef peppers and spices ect. It's a great healthy alternative to carbs. Give it try , I much prefer it too cous cous

Well my tuppence would be make the swede mash before hand and par boil toasties salt and leave in fridge , I do a cauli cheese or leeks also and leave in fridge then it's focus on other veg and meat  and cook the puds while plating up. 👍🏻

Yeah, I do a lot of it the day before, they’ll be expecting 3 courses so preparation is the key, this isn’t my first rodeo ( lol )
