I grow most of the vegetables we eat and have my own hens, ducks and quail for eggs. I eat most of what I catch, rabbit , hare, venison , pheasant, pigeon, fish, etc. Caught the other morning, I’ll eat the pheasant; the dog can have the tree rat ! There was a phase not long ago when the posh restaurants were selling loads of squirrels. The local butchers were selling them for £7 each ! Ive never fancied eating one, but thinking about it, a rabbit eats it’s own shite but a squirrel eats nuts and berries ! LOL ! Cheers.
