Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

That's how Sunday dinner is supposed to be  .  If you can move again before Monday morning,  you've been short changed 😄.

i feel the same....the only time i will eat rabbit is when they are just out of the burrow...and we call "friers"....skinned and gutted and rolled in flour and herbs and gently fried in an oil/ butter mix .....they taste completly different from an adult rabbit.....

When I was a kid we used to eat loads of rabbit, mainly rabbit stew with mashed spuds and I loved it, but after years of gutting them the smell has put me off it and I can’t remember the last time I had it, I might give it another go but it will definitely be getting a 24 hour salt water bath first

when mum was in the WAFF......the NAFI often served up rabbit pie as mock chicken.............

My old man used to do the same just so my brother would eat it, he never knew and would often ask for chicken pie but would never eat rabbit if he could see what it was
