It’s a standard meal in the states and Canada, don’t know why it’s not more popular here.

Because they ain't biscuits and it ain't gravy,  should be called 'weird scones and dog sick'  I'd rather eat London pie and mash lol

Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Rule of thumb for naming something a biscuit, Biscuits go soft with age whereas bread goes hard with age...

Think you pay vat on biscuits but not cake.....or something like that.....the court case about Jaffa cakes was about if they were biscuits or cake.

Can't remember the outcome.....or if indeed I have just made that up

No....but I did have weird scones and and dog sick, first taste is with the eyes  😆...I'll give America their dues when it comes to bbq though, even though they stole it from the south Americans they made it their own by dumping a load of sugar and processed cheese and sauces all over it .. fk yeah!

it was proved that Jaffa cakes are indeed cakes as they rise in the manufacturing process like cake ..

thus not attracting VAT

A court case in 1991 did indeed  rule that as far as vat is concerned, Jaffa Cakes are indeed cakes !

Though why chocolate covered biscuits should have vat added, but chocolate covered cakes don’t, is beyond me !

Cheers.
